In this powerful presentation, George Harbison chronicles the horrifying toll of death and destruction inflicted on the world by socialist regimes in the 20th century, focusing primarily on Russia (USSR), China, and Cambodia. Through narrative, images, and music, Harbison weaves together a devastating indictment of the ideology that has left every country in which it has been tried in ruins. In meticulous fashion, he documents socialism’s 20th century death count, which, according to “The Black Book of Communism”, totaled 94 million.
Beyond this searing indictment, Harbison frames the topic of socialism by explaining what it actually is and, just as importantly, what it is not, cutting through the false narratives put forth in academia, the media, and in popular culture.
Harbison then brings the discussion forward to present day America as he demonstrates how socialism has been creeping more and more into American life over the past several decades.
The lecture concludes with a call to action, fashioned as a response to clear thinkers who ask:
“what can we do to fight back?”.
