Lynn Artman
Originally from the Detroit area, Lynn Artman is a proud alum of Michigan Tech, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering (85) and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (98). After working in the geotechnical and construction industries, she worked over 25 years at Michigan Tech, most recently teaching Construction Management for 15 of those years.
During her time at Michigan Tech, she was very involved with student organizations. She was advisor for the Turning Point USA and Young Americans for Freedom Chapters at MTU. She also was advisor to Husky Construction and Design, and Efficiency through Engineering and Construction (ETEC) Enterprise.
Lynn retired in 2022 but continues to remain actively engaged with the Michigan Tech student and alumni community, taking part in events and mentoring students. Her passion for promoting free speech and critical thinking, embracing diverse ideas and encouraging community involvement. Through these activities Lynn remains dedicated to the future of Michigan Tech students and higher education in general.
