Edwin Eiswerth
Ed is a 1977 Michigan Tech forestry graduate. After graduation he joined the US Air Force where he served as an Airborne Battle Manager. He was stationed in many locations around the world and in the continental US. His jobs included work as a Weapons Director, Senior Director, Mission Crew Commander, flight instructor and flight evaluator in AWACS early in his career. Later served with RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) as Exchange Officer and then as Joint Officer with US Army at Ft McPherson Georgia. Later he returned to AWACS and served as Chief of Operational Training at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. He retired from the Air Force in 1994.
He also served as a volunteer firefighter/EMT in his early Air Force career when not flying. After his military retirement he became a professional fire fighter/paramedic/instructor in Georgia. He was chief of the Peachtree City, GA Fire/Rescue Department from 2007 to 2013. He has been retired since 2013.
He and his wife now live in Alexander City, AL on the shores of Lake Martin.
Ed has been involved with MTU alumni groups including leadership for many years. He hopes to help to create a group of MTU alumni that will foster an atmosphere of free speech that will encourage open dialogue and debate of significant current issues.
